Hey heyyyy!

Hope everyone who is reading this is enjoying their summers (unless uhhh you live in Australia then enjoy winter babes) !! I've been slacking on the posts, so here we go!

I have NOT looked at Paris couture yet, so no talking about that today. For a while now, I have been less enchanted by the high gloss of Vogue and Fashion week, and interested more in the grungy, summery, and more eclectic fashion that does not cost thousands of dollars to wear. I'm thinking of music festivals and raves, funky dyed hair, the comeback of those stretchy chokers. Trendy things a/o 2014.

Here are some inspirations:

She's so rich, & so blond/ She's so fab, it's beyond this post is a continuation of my last post( here for those who may have missed it), & so again we are going to look at Versace! WHAT could be better? It is super hot & humid outside, so I feel no guilt as I  flip through fashion archives with air conditioning & a tall glass of ice water.

Last post covered my favorite runway moments from Donatella era Versace, but I left out one very important season. I did this, because this season is my favorite & deserves a post of its own.

So here is the Fall RTW line of 2005. Everything is sophisticated, sexy & embodies what I love about Versace. LEGGO:

Voodoo, Voodoo, Voo-Don-Na-Na

Today let's talk:

Donatella Versace.

2010 Spring RTW                                                                           2006 Spring RTW

I am not old enough to have seen Gianni Versace's runway, & have not found pictures YET on the internet (though I have not looked too hard, though that is on my list of things-to-do). I have grown up seeing seeing Versace ads and photos exclusively from Donatella-era Versace. Donatella's runway is indulgent in luxury & unforgivably sexy (Fact: the Puritans would be mortified).

I skimmed through's archives for Versace & there are so many awesome clothes throughout the years, that I am going to have to split this into 3 posts (!). There are also some really awful ones from the early 2000s that resemble figure-skater dresses, & they are hilarious.

But here are my favorite Versace runway moments with comments in the captions (some images are old & of lower quality; also these are not really in order whaterrr):

TODAY, I am finally concluding my lil series on makeup from the runway for fall 2014. woohoo! This is my favorite makeup from this past fall season...and the winner is...

Jonathan Saunders

JOKE. This is not the winner, hehe gotcha. Somehow this makeup makes this chick look both like she is diseased and in pain (?).

No, I thought Dior killed it in the makeup department. I love the green and blue hues, as well the shimmer in the eyeshadow. Now GAZE upon this (I made the pictures big, so you can really ~GAZE~ :

Wow. THAT is party makeup. I can't pick whether I like the green or the blue better. I s'pose if you want to be slightly more subtle, the green works better, and if you want more pizzazz!, the blue is very electric.

Another look that I cannot go without mentioning is the makeup that Giles had on the runway. Look at this ish! Again, big pix so you can take in how cool it is.

Doesn't this makeup make these girls look like the coolest people ever? I mean look, this last chick has a nose ring & everyone has that messy I-don't-care hair (except with the girl in the second pic with the short hair, & of course she looks awesome too). I think this kind of makeup could be day to night, though maybe not on days when you have to go to work, depending on your job.

So in conclusion, Dior and Giles made stellar makeup choices, I like bright blue eye makeup, and let me know what you think of my picks! Let me know what you liked from the fall runway!

2014 RTW Fall Makeup Wrap Up

So here I'm going to finish up on the runway makeup from Fall. We've already looked at two trends so far, the heavy brow trend and my personal favorite, the mostly minimal look with soft, pretty eye shadow. Below I have divided up the last of the trends.

2014 RTW Fall Makeup Cont'd

Makeup, Continued

Strong filled-in brows were everywhere on the runway. I like the look of dramatic eyebrows, though I am blond and have light eyebrows, so if I fill them in darker it's very noticeable (pff but whatever: it's for fashion!). Keeping in balance with the heavy eyebrows, most of the makeup was kept simple, so this look (though presented for fall) would also be great in the summer, when less makeup is preferable.
